designer: Yutaro Miyauchi

After graduating from Bunka Fashion College, he helped out various brands before launching his own brand, Blanc, at the age of 25, which was launched as Blanc YM in the spring/summer 2016 season.

The brand name is French for "white," and was chosen because the brand wanted to create clothes that were free of white space or color, rather than simply white clothing.

The brand concept is "Universality, Diversity, +α." They offer minimalist designs that blend into the everyday wardrobe of both men and women.

By reconsidering classic items from the perspective of materials and appearance, and rigorously pursuing details, we create never-before-seen "new clothing."

Important Notes

An oversized work coat with a slightly longer length.

The sleeves are thick like a pilot jacket, while the width of the body is moderate.

Another nice feature is that it has two pockets, one on the top and one on the side.

It uses a reverse zipper, allowing for versatile styling.

The fabric is an original herringbone patterned linen and cotton material woven in Oshu.

The manufacturer only offers the bronze color, but Kinosha has specially ordered a black version.

Linen is used lavishly for the warp threads, resulting in neps and knots that give the fabric a rough and rugged impression.

The finish is mercerized to give the material its natural luster as well as an elegant sheen.

This jacket has the fabric intentionally used on the inside, which reduces the shine and stiffness of the linen.
