The greatest appeal of this brand is the artisanal products born from designer Ukaji's close and long-term collaboration with craftsmen from all over Japan. As an antithesis to mass production and mass consumption, a strong spirit resides in the intricate detailing.
A symbol of this is the "yoroke stitch," which is also the brand's icon.
This is not simply a meandering stitch for design purposes; it is a special sewing technique that requires advanced skill and immense effort from the craftsmen, and it is a unique detail that also represents the designer's own "distorted handwriting."
