A reconstructed jacket featuring an original jacquard fabric that captures a graphic of the designer’s cherished landscape in an oil-painting style.

The motif for the original artwork is the memorable Ichihara Lakeside Museum, which the designer visited with his wife. The view from the rooftop is captured not through printing, but woven directly into the fabric of the jacket.

The fabric is crafted with a denim-like feel in mind, using black warp threads combined with multiple shades of light-toned cotton weft yarns.

By weaving these different colored yarns together, the design achieves the depth and three-dimensional graphic quality of an oil painting.

The garment also undergoes a washing process to add a vintage-like texture to the fabric.

Despite the bold pattern, it has a soft, broken-in feel that eliminates the stiffness typically found in new clothing.

The body is a new design that reconstructs three distinct elements: a flight jacket, a track jacket, and a drizzler jacket.
