[yorozu] "Y.K.W INRO"

A leather case that reconstructs the structure of the inro for modern times

Features

  • Adopts the structure of an inro, which was introduced during the Muromachi period
  • Unique opening and closing mechanism that moves a natural stone up and down
  • Imported leather from a prestigious German tannery established in 1864

Product Description

The inro is said to have been introduced from China during the Muromachi period.

Originally, it was a tool for storing valuables such as personal seals, but in the Edo period, it evolved uniquely in Japan, being carried as a medicine case.

This product is a leather case that reinterprets that traditional structure in a modern way.

It opens and closes by moving the natural stone located on the top of the body's flap up and down.

The mechanism itself functions as a design, integrating ornamentation and function.

The leather used is imported from a prestigious German tannery established in 1864.

The semi-aniline finish provides vivid coloring and elegant luster, while also offering durability against scratches and water.

It is a product where traditional design and urban material feel quietly coexist.

Daily care only requires brushing and dry wiping.
