Product Description

A new band collar shirt.

While maintaining the design of our classic shirt as a base, we have slightly altered the balance of length and width.

The rayon linen fabric with a washer finish is printed with designs

excerpted from illustrations in an 18th-century European encyclopedia depicting lifestyles of the time.

It's an original pattern created by silhouetting various types of carriages used back then and reconfiguring their sizes and orientations. A distinctive feature is the reinterpretation of historical documents not merely as decoration but as "structured patterns."

The most significant feature is the cord work embroidered over the fabric.

Cord embroidery is placed on the chest and the lower right front body, arranged to guide the eye.

Furthermore, using 40-count fabric, a hemp rope similar to those used for materials is twisted and wrapped, then attached to the body. This design aims to showcase the material's existence itself as a structure, rather than just mere decoration.

The band collar keeps the neckline minimal, allowing the three-dimensional effect of the embroidery and cords to stand out even more.

This piece is realized through the balance of structure, material, and placement.
